WHAT IS ONETHING?

Each month we do One Thing together as a team to show the love of Christ across the street and across the sea. It’s built for everyone to get involved.

NOVEMBER – Thanksgiving Meals

This month, we’ll collect, sort, and distribute Thanksgiving meals to those in need within our community.

GIVE

Grab an orange bag with a list of Thanksgiving meal needs. Bring the bag and items back to our OneThing table by November 17. You can also purchase the items below and drop them off in grocery bags on a Sunday, or during the week at the church office.

2 boxes of stuffing mix
2 cans of cranberry sauce
1 box of instant potatoes
gravy (mix packet or jar)
4 cans of vegetables
2 boxes of macaroni & cheese or pasta salad mix
1 container of chicken broth
cake mix & cake frosting
$10 grocery store gift card (to purchase a turkey)

DO

Sort and organize items for Thanksgiving meals, Thursday, Nov 15, 6:30-8pm and Saturday, Nov 17, 2-4pm in the fellowship hall at our Greeley Campus, or November 18th, 5pm at our Windsor Campus. Sign up sheets are available at the OneThing table

GO

Volunteer to take a delivery of bags to one of the organizations we are partnering with, November 19th or 20th. Contact Jaylin at onething@wearegenerations.church to sign up.

OCTOBER RECAP

Community Outreach Center

In October, we supported our Community Outreach Center (COC) by collecting needed donations, learning more about what the COC does in our community, and serving at the COC.

SEPTEMBER RECAP

Missions Partners

In September, we supported our missionary partners across the street [local] and across the sea [global] with prayer, giving, and encouragement.

Prayer cards were picked up from the OneThing table.

Notes of encouragement were written to send to our missionaries.

JULY & AUGUST RECAP

Teachers & Students

In July & August, we equipped local teachers with resources and support, provided backpacks and school supplies for kids, and signed up to volunteer time in classrooms.

People signed up to regularly read and spend time in classrooms this school year.

JUNE RECAP

Guatemala 

In June, we supported local missions partners in Guatemala by providing financial and material resources, as well as contributions to the Guatemala Missions Team.

People showed up to MOD Pizza for a fundraiser to raise support to help with the scholarship needs of the team going to Guatemala in July.

People came to a work night to pack two crates full of clothing, baby formula, and medical supplies to aid in volcano disaster relief.

People (including 16 teens) went on a missions trip to Guatemala to work with the Land of Hope, and Casa Angelina.

MAY RECAP

The Resource Center

In May, we partnered with The Resource Center to provide financial support in the form of baby bottles filled with loose change, and also baby wipes and diapers for infants and clients of the TRC.

APRIL RECAP

Ukraine

In April, we raised awareness and support for our missions partners in Ukraine, and offered an opportunity for people to engage with a missions trip this fall.

MARCH RECAP

Community Outreach Center

In March, we supported the COC by donating needed supplies (75+ red bags full of goods), volunteering at work days (35+ people), and hosting an open house to show how the COC helps serve those in our community.

FEBRUARY RECAP

Foster Support

In February, we donated needed items to children and families in our local foster community.

We also hosted a ‘Family Strengthening Event’, partnering with Finally Home. 150 children and adults participated, with over 100 volunteers on hand to make the day a huge success.

NOVEMBER RECAP

Thanksgiving Meal Boxes

With the help of all who donated food items, we delivered over 300 Thanksgiving meal boxes! In addition, 115 of you came to help assemble and pray over the meals! From 6 years old to 70, the church showed up to help make this happen!
