WHAT TO EXPECT

ADULTS

Be wise.  If you have a fever or covid-like symptoms, if you have traveled to a hot spot or been in proximity to someone who is exhibiting symptoms or tested positive, we ask that you join us online for Church At Home.

Be respectful.  How we gather matters as much or more than when we gather.  While with us, we ask that you respect one another’s physical distancing preferences by not assuming hugs or hand shakes are desired.  In this stage of gathering again, to serve others, we ask you wear a mask.

WHAT DOES CHURCH LOOK LIKE?

Physical Distancing

  • A host will seat family units one row apart with three seats between families [6 feet apart].
  • Restrooms will have no congregating – capacity will be limited to available stalls.
  • Services will be slightly reduced in length [50 minutes] with slightly less singing [3 songs].

Touch Free Environments

  • Open doors, digital bulletin, pre-packaged communion, offerings online or in giving boxes
  • As the outside temperature drops, we’ll have hot coffee and donuts served for you inside our lobby, in a single file line.

Staff & Volunteer Screening

  • [First Phase] Staff & volunteers will undergo temperature checks.
  • [First Phase] Staff & volunteers will wear masks.

Additional Disinfecting

  • Frequent disinfecting of all common areas [following CDC recommendations]
  • Increased outdoor air circulation
  • Hand sanitizer stations

KIDS

Online and In-Person. Along with our in-person gKids experiences, know we will continue to produce and make available our Kids At Home content. Our little ones are so important to the vision of Generations, and we will do our best to meet you wherever you choose to participate!

WHAT DO GKIDS EXPERIENCES LOOK LIKE?

Check-In

  • Come in through the kids’ entrance on the south side of the building and you will see signs 6 feet apart that will let you know where to line up.
  • Wait at the “Stop Sign” until a gKids volunteer invites you up to check-in after disinfecting the station.
  • Kids will get their temperature checked prior to entering the hallway
  • 1 Parent is allowed to walk them to their class to limit traffic.
  • The parent escorting the child will be required to wear a mask in the hallway and have their temperature checked as well.
  • In order to keep the traffic flow in one direction, we ask that parents exit to the north (left), instead of moving back through the check-in station area.

Classrooms

  • Prior to entering the classroom, kids will use hand sanitizer.
  • Classroom sizes have been lowered based on square-footage of the room (so arrive early!!).
  • Large Group times will be socially distanced.
  • All snacks are individually packaged.

Check-Out

  • Just one parent will be allowed into the hallway to pick-up.
  • After kids have been checked out, all touched surfaces are disinfected.
  • GKids Staff will have worn their mask the entire experience and had their temperature checked.

QUESTIONS?

This is new for everyone, and we realize there’s some learning and adapting for each of us to do along the way. If you have questions that haven’t been addressed here, please reach out!

Our goal is to offer a meaningful and relaxed worship environment while also serving/including precautions that serve/include a maximum amount of people.  We’ll be paying attention to internal feedback and also giving consideration to local health regulations as we prayerfully consider relaxing restrictions in phrases.
For the sake of adjustments our team and audience will make as we add back in person gatherings, we’ll stay similar in service style to where we’ve been the past two months [online].  Our 8:30am experience (in-person and online) will remain geared more towards the traditional.  We’ll listen to your feedback and make tweaks as we progress.

In addition to significant prayer and conversation, we researched several large churches, spoke with a national consultant, conducted an insurance review, ran through staff and board approval, and incorporated feedback from Weld County and Weld County Health Department.

While we’re planning for the best, we’re flexible to the unknown, and will always do whatever we can to carry out Generation’s vision to help one more person find and follow Jesus, whether in person or online.

LET’S STAY IN TOUCH

We’d love to keep you updated.
